Toe Nail Fungus

Toe nail fungus otherwise known as onychomycosis is a fungal infection that can commonly attack the nail plate, nail bed or surrounding skin. The nail is typically deformed and is often thick and brittle resulting in a yellow to whitish coloured nail. The nail may also have opaque patches or striation which left untreated can progress into the nail splitting, growing into layers and also crumble.
Fungal nails may result in painful toenails, impair your ability to walk and can contribute to negative self esteem. Nail fungus is the leading cause of recurrent lower leg infections.
