COVID-19 Position Statement

Keeping you safe during COVID-19
As concerns about the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 increase, I wanted to personally reach out to update you on what we are doing to care for both our staff and patients during this time.
Our plan is as follows:
To continue to provide in-clinic and house call visits. We will be conducting screening by phone prior to your appointment to determine the risk for COVID-19. If you have a scheduled visit in-home or in our clinic in the next coming weeks you may reschedule without being charged the cancellation/no-show fee if you decide not to have your foot care treatment. All patients that have fallen ill or travelled outside the country will have their appointment rescheduled in 14 days. We will also reschedule your appointment if you have come in contact with individuals who have fallen ill or travelled outside the country.
We are encouraging all patients who enter into our clinic to use the hand sanitizer found in the entranceway to the clinic prior to there appointment and to use the hand sanitizer after their appointment or wash their hands and follow best practices to protect the health and wellbeing of themselves, their family, and our community at large. Like always meticulous hand hygiene and cleaning will be conducted to the clinic work areas where foot care is provided post-treatment as well as to waiting areas, bathrooms or any other traffic areas to break the chain of infection. If foot care is provided in your home the nurse will also conduct meticulous hand hygiene and cleaning of her instruments post-care. Additionally, we believe in supporting all members of our team so should they become ill we are asking anyone who feels sick to take as much time off as they need to fully recover.
In addition to these steps, we will be monitoring the latest information including recommendations from the Government of Canada and World Health Organization and doing our part to stop the spread of this virus.
We will continue to keep an eye on the situation and make further adjustments to our action plan if and when necessary. The health and well-being of our patients, team, and community are of utmost importance to us and will continue to be our north star as we navigate the road ahead.
